Free Song Of The Day: Patrick Watson & The Wooden Arms | "Tracy's Waters"
The fine folks at Shore Fire Media sent me an MP3 to review. It's "Tracy's Waters" by Patrick Watson & the Wooden Legs. It's a nifty song--it reminds me of something like a contemporary version of Peter Gabriel. (That's a compliment, I love Peter Gabriel.)
There's a lot of found sound here (I think I heard wind chimes in there, if I was right) and Watson has a great voice, all of which makes for a dreamy, ambient feel. I'm certainly interested in hearing the rest of the CD, as this is definitely a song to send around to get folks interested.
