Farewell Milwaukee: A Great New Band

So thanks to The Current, the great indie-rock radio station in the Twin Cities, I discovered Farewell Milwaukee, a Midwestern alt-country/folk rock band with one hell of a good steel guitar player.

The name is a reference to the tendency of many aspiring bands to pick up and leave for seemingly greener pastures (i.e. New York/L.A), but they're sticking around. That's something I can associate with, given I came back to the Minnesota from the West Coast not too long ago.

In any case, check them out. Their site has several songs available via streaming audio, as well as links to buying their album outright. I did so the other day--pretty fantastic if you ask me.
